A merchant account is a relationship between a retailer and a merchant bank. This allows merchants to accept credit card and debit card payments from customers.
When do merchants get funded on credit card transactions?
Merchants are funded on their transactions within 24-48 hours, depending on the day and time.
What is an internet merchant account?
An account for merchants accepting payments through a virtual terminal or shopping cart.
What is a shopping cart?
A method of collecting the items chosen by a consumer for purchase from an online catalog.
Do merchants need shopping cart to be an internet merchant?
No. Merchants are able to use either a shopping cart and/or virtual terminal. Larger merchants will find a virtual terminal easier to handle with a number of products. Merchants will have access to the virtual terminal for the ability to accept phone orders and enter them manually.
What if merchants need support?
Merchants are able to contact the agent who will then contact our office or the merchant is capable of calling our office direct.
How long does it take for merchants to be approved?
Most accounts are approved in 1-2 days. Larger merchants will require a longer underwriting period.
What types of merchants do you approve?
Our company approves a multitude of merchants including; internet, phone order, mail order and retail (face to face) merchants.
